Ive lived in downtown Hollywood for 5 years. There are some restaurants that I just have avoided and when I find a good find I'll be a repeat customer. This experience I DO NOT plan on repating. I ordered the chicken strips with onions and Tomatoes, I figured for my first time, something simple that they can't mess up. Well guess what... It was awful. The food took forever. The chicken was hard and trashy the fries were barely fried and not golden, and the rice was undercooked. Did I forget to mention that the entire meal was cold! On a brighter note, the presentation was not bad, the manager and service was friendly and they took off the meal off the bill - which I expected some I didn't even touch it.
I hope you guys learn from this experience and make it better for future customers.

I ate bistec, Peruvian style rice and beans

Although the rice is not what I expected visually, it tasted better than it looked. Serving size is generous.

This is one of many little privately owned small businesses near young circle.
They have live dj playing typical Latino music.

The place is small but cute. Got there and it was small crowd.
When the music started the whole place was full.
Only thing I didn't like was that the waiters took over 30-40 mins not checking on us for anything else, drinks, dessert or nothing extra offered. They got busy and just vanished. We had to waive them down 4 times to get us our tabs.
Service okay, time getting food was normal, just the check out was annoying.

Went for late lunch, not crowded yet service was very slow... Ceviche Mixto was the nastiest I've ever had, no taste. Arroz con mariseos was edible. Wouldn't recommend it. To top it off, it was the last place we used a credit card which had to be closed a few days after because of fraudulent charges... if you end up there, pay cash.

Decent food - long a*s wait!

1st try: Tried to hit up this place during lunch. Ordered and waited waited waited - food never appeared so I left. I drive down Hollywood thinking about hitting up Subway to calm my stomach pains before heading back to Davie. But once I do that Uturn I decide to continue and head back to the area, find parking, and still my food wasn't ready. It appears maybe 3 minutes later. I ate fast and didn't take pics. Couldn't decide if I really liked the food or was just starving. I had left overs - so portions were big - but those were accidentally left in the car on a very hot day :-(.

2nd try: Checking off some bookmarks and in the area and I accidentally walk into this place while looking for Tardes. Just one table of people inside and their faces kinda sour for a beautiful Saturday afternoon. I had no intentions of a full dinner, just a nice dessert to top off my day of cheat eating. I check the short dessert menu and order.

I sat back checking out some of the art work on the wall and enjoying the music. Much more relaxed than on my first visit. Salsa music filled the place but no one danced. Very little room for dancing anyway, but salseros would work it out. I waiting maybe 15 minutes before my bladder alerts me it's going to explode. This is when the table of pissed off looking people finally get their drinks. (I have no idea how long they were waiting before the time I came in.) Clean bathroom break over. I look at more artwork on the wall, check email, post snaps, chat with friends about possible nightlife. (I was there for awhile). I walk out and have great donuts. Sweet potato donuts that were not to sweet, fried light, had a great sauce, but took a long time.

3rd try: I come back again one afternoon. Music is blasting from the street. This time I already hit up Kilwin's for a cone - but friend had to try their food. She loved her steak. Said it was well seasoned blah blah blah. My squid was a little over cook but tasty. Food 3-4 stars. Service friendly but limited? 3 stars. Wait time long as f*ck!
